WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect only what you give us and a small amount of technical data about how the website is used.
When you email or phone us: your name, contact details and whatever you tell us.
When you apply for a job through the Careers page: first and last name, email, phone number, the position you are interested in, and the link to your CV.
When you book a table or buy a gift card: these are handled on time2dine.uk, a separate website run by Time2Dine. We receive your name, contact details, booking details and any special requests so we can serve you. Card payments are processed by Time2Dine's payment provider; we never see your full card number.
When you browse this website: with your consent, cookies record pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device type and how you arrived.
We do not ask for sensitive information. If you tell us about an allergy or access need with a booking, we use it only to look after you on your visit.
HOW WE USE IT AND WHY WE ARE ALLOWED TO
We use your information only for the purpose you gave it to us.
Replying to enquiries. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (answering people who contact us).
Considering job applications. Applications are sent to the hiring managers of Elia Greek Restaurant and are seen only by them. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
Taking and managing bookings and gift cards. Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.
Measuring how the website is used (Google Analytics, Wix analytics). Lawful basis: your consent.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you. We will only send you marketing if you have asked for it.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

Some of these companies store data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK's adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep information no longer than we need it.
Unsuccessful job applications: 6 months after the decision, then deleted.
Job applications that lead to employment: moved to your employment record.
Enquiries by email or phone: up to 12 months.
Booking and gift card records: up to 6 years where needed for accounting and tax.
Analytics data: up to 14 months.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask us at any time to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
Under UK data protection law you also have the right to restrict or object to how we use your information, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you have given. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month and there is normally no charge.
